POKOTABI / Sibling Coffee
Sibling Coffee
Located along Senbon-dori in Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto, Sibling Coffee pairs origin-driven filter coffee and detailed latte art with crisp donuts and house-baked sweets.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Glancing at the coffee beans lined up along the counter—noting their origins and processing methods—sets the tone for picking a cup matched to your mood. Located near the Senbon Demizu intersection in Kyoto, Sibling Coffee offers its signature Sibling Blend alongside an array of single-origin filter coffees from origins such as Kenya, Ethiopia, and Colombia. Carefully roasted in-house, each batch is brewed to highlight its distinctive floral notes and fruity acidity, allowing the inherent character of the beans to shine through. The cafe latte is equally memorable, pairing delicate latte art with smooth milk that rounds out the deep richness of the espresso.
For something to accompany your drink, the donuts are well liked for their balanced sweetness and pleasant, crisp bite. The baked goods selection also includes a chocolate chip scone served with specialty coffee cream, composed to complement both drip coffees and richer espresso drinks. When you want a change of pace, the menu features creative specialty drinks as well, ranging from an espresso tonic and a lightly sweetened matcha latte to a crisp lemon soda.
Though set directly along Senbon-dori, the interior maintains a calm, unhurried atmosphere. Guests can chat at the counter for recommendations before deciding on a bean, and orders are available for takeout as well as dine-in. Cashless payment options include credit cards, transit IC cards, and PayPay, making it an easy place to pause during a walk through the neighborhood.
